8 Great Reasons To Book Your Holiday Early!

Booking a holiday is always super exciting. Nothing could beat the lead up to that sun holiday you have probably been thinking about since that heat wave left us back in August. If you are more inclined to like the polar side of things, you are probably counting down the days until you can hit the slopes again. Or if you like to sail the high-seas, you are probably researching the best cruises of 2014.
If you have decided that you are going on holidays during 2014, we would advise you to GET BOOKING EARLY!
All too often, we see people coming into us to book a holiday to a destination they are really excited about. Then it turns out that they have left it too late, and there is no availability. It breaks our heart to see their despair. As a result, they will end up booking a holiday they probably won’t be half as excited about.
It is for this reason (among others) that booking your holiday as early as you can is always advised. Allow us to elaborate. Here are eight great reasons you should get booking that 2014 holiday ASAP!

Group holidays1. You’ll get the Best Value & Offers

Booking early means you can have your pick of special offers, making sizeable savings on brochure prices, as well as getting other perks such as free child places or airport transfers. These are NOT offers that will be available to you if you plan to book last minute.

2. Lower Deposits

Early bookers can enjoy deposits for as little as €50. This means that even if you are stone broke after the festive season, chances are you will still be able to secure a holiday to somewhere YOU want to go. There’s nothing worse than going on holidays for the sake of it.

If you book your holiday early, chances are (depending on availability) you will be able to bring your little munchkin away for free. Free Child Places are usually available for kids up to the age of 16. Note these places are limited to one child per booking.

4. Free Group Places

If you plan to travel as a group, it is important to book early simply to ensure to that you can all travel together and stay in the same accommodation. As well as that, if you are travelling in a group of at least ten or twelve people, and you book early enough, you may be able to avail of free group places (again, depending on availability!).

If you are a sucker for cruise holidays, then you can REALLY benefit from being an early booker. Early bookers can benefit from free on-board credit to spend on extra drinks or spa treatments, as well as accommodation upgrades.

6. You Have More Time for Holiday Shopping

Unless you are super-organised, once you book a last-minute holiday, it is very easy to get into a feathery flap trying to buy suitcases, bikinis, beach towels, flip flops, and those pesky little transparent airport bottles…right? By booking your holiday early, you can build up your holiday luggage, bit by bit, every month…which is kinder to your salary too!

So you rang in the New Year promising yourself that you were going to be healthier, lose weight and get fit. It is always good to have a focus. What better way to stay motivated than to promise yourself you are going to hit the beach with pride in your body this summer? Once you have the holiday booked, it’s a permanent focus.

8. More Time for Excitement

Don’t you just love that warm burst of excitement once you book a holiday. It’s like you have been hit with a sudden burst of adrenaline, right? Here at Abbey Travel, we LOVE that feeling. Imagine spending a few months feeding off the excitement!
