Visas for Australia

Irish passport holders require a valid passport and visa for travel to Australia. We can issue an Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) for holiday visa to Australia. We can also advise on working holiday visas or business visas for Australia or New Zealand. Please see below for further details on each option. For all destinations a valid passport is required usually with a minimum 6 months validity from the date of returning home. It is your responsibility to check and obtain visas for other countries other than Australia.

Other nationalities; please check with your embassy who will advise you of your requirements. We will give you whatever visa/passport information is available to us at time of booking.

Australia ETA (Visitor Holiday Visa for Australia)

This is called an ETA (Electronic Travel Authority) and differs from traditional visas in that there are no application forms to fill in and no visa label or stamp in the passport. The ETA is available to passport holders from Australian Government specified countries and regions. To apply for an ETA (Visitor), you must be outside Australia and hold a passport issued by an ETA-eligible country or region (e.g. Ireland).

Validity

An ETA (Visitor) Visa allows a person to stay in Australia for up to 3 months on each arrival within 12 months from the date of the granted visa.

Please note that all passengers including children and infants should have their own passports.

Restrictions

Work in Australia is not permitted. The holder must depart within the validity of the visitor visa.

AUSTRALIA WORKING HOLIDAY VISA

Cost is €325 for the visa to be issued within 14 days. Only if booked in conjunction with flights with Abbey Travel's Australia Travel Centre.
Cost is €330 for visa to be issued within 48 hours. Only if booked in conjunction with flights with Abbey Travel's Australia Travel Centre.
If not booking in conjunction with flights a €25 surcharge will apply for visa application.
You can apply for a tax saver pack for €25 and we can set up a bank account in Australia for you before you travel.
We need your name, address, email, mobile & date of birth to apply for this visa, and you can apply anytime before your 31st birthday.
You must enter Australia within 1 year of visa being issued.
