I travelled to South Africa many years ago and still have fond memories of a beautiful country and wounderful people.  I travelled from Durban to Cape Town stopping off in villages and towns along the way such as East London and Port Elizabeth & back through Bloemfontein Desert to Durban. I stayed in camp sites the whole way until Cape Town.  This was a great way to see a lot of the country, driving through townships & cities and experiencing the real South Africa away from all the tourist hotspots.

Durban was my favourite place in South Africa particularly hanging out at Joe Cools along the beach. I went bodyboarding everyday. I was only meant to stay for 2 months but ended up staying 6 months, I really didn't want to leave. South Africa is really a great destination for a great holiday whether you like the beach life or wildlife South Africa has it all.
