It’s one of the main City Squares and the centre of business and cultural communities in New Town. The square is named after the patron saint of Bohemia Saint Wenceslas and is a world heritage site. Charles Bridge is magnificent; it crosses the river Vltava and is huge. It is protected by three bridge towers, two of them on the Lesser Quarter and one on the Old Town side. There are lots of lovely little galleries, cafes and restaurants to visit along the riverbanks, all this to see and do and a wonderful hotel to return to in the evenings.
