Enjoy a cheap sun holiday in the Canary Island's. It's not all about beaches, there are archipelago, which is part of Spain, includes seven major islands, all remnants of very steep, extinct volcanoes.
The most popular islands visited by tourists are Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura and Lanzarote.
The beaches, climate and important natural attractions, especially Teide National Park and Mount Teide, the third largest volcano in the world, make the Canaries a great holiday destination.
The islands have a sub-tropical climate, which means the summers are long and hot and the winters are mild.
In La Palma, Tenerife and Gran Canaria you may find tropical rains from time to time, while Fuerteventura and Lanzarote are very dry and guarantee sunshine almost without interruption.
Boat
All the islands are connected by ferries, ‘fast ferries’ and jetfoils. Be advised that times, prices and routes can and do change depending on the time of year. This isn’t so important on major routes, where there’s plenty of choice, but it can mean a big delay if you’re planning to travel a route that has only a couple of boats per day, or even per week.
Car
Car-hire rates on the Canary Islands are significantly cheaper than in most European countries. You can expect to find all international car rental companies in the Canary Islands along with some local companies
