Gran Canaria boasts many different types of beaches, such as the long stretch of sand of Maspalomas, a huge line of yellow sand stretching from Playa del Inglés to the foot of the great Maspalomas lighthouse.

The south of the island has another long series of beaches: quiet family ones such as San Agustín, Amadores and Puerto de Mogán, or lively ones such as Puerto Rico.

There are hundreds of things to do on the island such as golf, camel trekking, enjoying the parks and beaches, nightlife, museums, art galleries and the many sports such as surfing, mountain biking, rock climbing, trekking, windsurfing, diving, and practically anything else you can imagine is waiting for you in Gran Canaria.
