Bodrum is a well-known tourist destination and an international centre for yachting. The beaches are cleaned every day and you can take a boat trip to go snorkelling or diving in the numerous reefs and caves and swimming in secluded bays.

There are a large number of cafes, restaurants and bars for you to enjoy some traditional Turkish cuisine and you can go to Halikarnas, an outdoor nightclub with foam parties, said to be the largest nightclub in the world. The Castle is well worth a visit. Built in the 15th century, it looks out over the marina and the harbour and hosts cultural festivals throughout the year.

Other places to visit include the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus, the Amphitheatre and the underwater archaeology museum. The summers are very hot while winter & spring are generally cooler and more pleasant.
