Lake Garda, known as the Riviera of the Dolomites, is the largest of Italy’s northern lakes.  Its beaches, surrounded by green vegetation on one side and rocks on the other are large and sandy. The clear, blue water and soft blowing wind are a real paradise for wind surfers and sailors alike.

The lakeside towns scattered along the coastline retain a characteristic charm. Lake Maggiore is the second largest of the northern lakes and is a picture of lush vegetation and flowers. The northern part lies in Switzerland and in the centre it opens out into the Borromean Gulf with three picturesque islands. Lake Como is the deepest of all the lakes and is one of the most remarkable natural beauties of Italy.
