Machu Picchu

Machu Picchu’s complex comprises an agricultural area with terraces and aqueducts, and a city with temples, observatories, workshops and sacred burial plots. The breathtaking view from this mountaintop citadel and its well-preserved ruins are a photographer’s dream. Located some 120km from Cusco, Machu Picchu rises to an altitude of 2,400m above sea level between Huyana Picchu (young peak) and Machu Picchu (old peak).

It is one of the most important archaeological sites in South America, one of the most visited tourist attractions in all of Latin America and is on the UNESCO World Heritage Site list. You have a choice of either trekking for 4 days or relaxing on a train for 4 hours from Cusco to reach this wonder of the world.
