Prague is a breathtakingly beautiful city whose rich and varied history is reflected in its architecture. The atmospheric Mala Strana (Lesser Town) with its red-tiled roofs and beautifully preserved buildings is an ideal place for a stroll overlooking the River Vtlava.

Follow the medieval royal way across Charles Bridge and enjoy the sights and sounds of the street performers around Wenceslas Square. Old Town Square has a magic quality, with colourful historic buildings and the famous Astronomical Clock. The Jewish Cemetery and Museum must be seen, for its moving commemoration of lives lived and lost in Prague’s Jewish quarter and elsewhere.

The Castle district has a fascinating network of streets, alleys, and squares.  Prague has several theatres where opera, ballet and concerts are performed. There are restaurants and cafes offering Czech and international cuisine. Beer is the national drink, and at least one visit to a pivnice (beer house) is a must.
