The number one resort destination in New Zealand's is Queenstown and it is well known, as the adventure capital of New Zealand. You can go jet boating, white water rafting, bungy jumping or even skydiving or how about sailing, mountain biking or play a quite round of golf at the same time as taking in the scenery.
There is so much to do your only problem is deciding how to fit the whole lot in. Take a ride on the Skyline Gondola to the top of Bob's Peak for a magnificent view over Queenstown and Lake Wakatipu. Once there, you can enjoy a tasty meal in the restaurant while enjoying the views, then you can walk down the track, or take the speedy way down by tandem paragliding.
From Queenstown there are many different tours such as cruises, garden tours and 4WD tours into the mountains, where you can discover the old gold mines, or locations where the "Lord of the Rings" was filmed.
