There is always something to do in Darling Harbour which has over 40 restaurants and bars. There is an Aquarium, which is one of the largest aquariums in the world or you, could watch a movie on the big screen at IMAX Theatre, Australia's largest cinema screen. The Star City Casino offers a wide range of activities. History is a big part of Australia and at the Australian National Maritime Museum you will discover the history of the Australian sea men. There is also the Powerhouse Museum, which is home to Australian history and culture.  There is free weekly entertainment and six free annual events from Jazz & blues festival to the street theatre festival.

The Australian Dollar (AUD) is divided into 100 cents. Banks and bureaux de change exchange most foreign currencies. Travellers cheques are also welcome everywhere, but banks take a small commission and it is better to take cheques in major currencies (e.g. US dollars or Euros) to avoid additional charges. Credit cards are widely accepted and ATMs are freely available throughout the country. Banking hours are generally 9.30am to 4pm Monday to Thursday, and 9.30am to 5pm on Friday, but some banks offer extended hours and some are open on Saturday mornings.
