Krakow is Poland’s second largest city and was previously the Capital. It is now known as Poland’s student city. Krakow is in the southern region of Poland and is located 320km from the Czech Republic. It is 295km south of the Capital Warsaw and enjoys a pleasant warm summer climate and cold winters with temperatures often falling below zero.

Krakow is a beautifully vibrant city. In the oldtown area there is the magnificent Market Square which is 200m by 200m and is always a hive of activity. There are many lovely bars and restaurants on the square offering great value for money. Krakow is an old city steeped in history and there are many fascinating day trips & tours to take in. The most popular combination is a day tour of Auschwitz & Birkenau, where you can pay tribute to the victims of the Holocaust and then follow this with a visit to the Wieliczka Salt mine. Krakow is also renowned for its spectacular Christmas Markets where the city is often covered in snow at that time of year.
