Costa del Sol is a coastal region in Andalusia in the south of Spain. It is not only one of the most popular tourist destinations in Spain, but in the whole world as it is home to numerous beaches, attractions and an incredible Mediterranean climate which results in approximately 325 days of sunshine per year! Summers are hot with temperatures often reaching the high 20’s while Winters are milder but still very pleasant.

The Costa del Sol has been well-developed with numerous shops, bars, restaurants, theme parks and other amenities. One of the region’s main attractions are the beaches, 34 of which are blue flag. There’s a mixture of sandy and pebble beaches, some of which are perfect for families thanks to the calm waters and abundance of facilities available in the vicinity, while others are more secluded and peaceful. There are also lots of sports facilities in the Costa del Sol, including golf courses, tennis clubs and marinas. No matter what you’re looking for, the Costa del Sol likely has it!

Due to its variety and diversity, a holiday to the Costa del Sol is sure to be enjoyed by every type of traveller. There is plenty to do for couples, such as visiting the various tourist resorts in the region including Malaga and Nerja, and also trying some of the local Spanish cuisine in the bars and restaurants dotted along the coast.
