La Pineda is a small, quiet town with a promenade and sandy beach on Spain’s Costa Dorada. It is 5km from the busier resort of Salou and 12km from Reus Airport. Close to La Pineda is Tarragona, which was the capital of Roman Spain, and is still the capital of the Costa Dorada region.

The golden beach at La Pineda is lined by a pine tree promenade, giving the resort its name! Around the promenade there are plenty of shops, restaurants and bars. Aquopolis water park is across from the beach and has rides suitable for everyone from young kids to adrenaline junkies. You can enjoy walking and cycling trails in the Torre d’en Dolca park. This open green space has hundreds of trees such as olive, carob, stone pines and eucalyptus. The 37-hectare park has artificial lakes and wetlands with aquatic plants - a great place for spotting migratory birds. Further inland is the Castell de Vila-seca, a splendid old fortress that houses and contemporary art gallery.

La Pineda is a destination suited to solo travellers, couples and families. There are sandy beaches, water parks and tourist sites. Lively nightlife is close by in Salou.
