There are express, short-term and long-term parking options
available at Bordeaux Airport. Parking lot P1 is located within
easy walking distance from the terminal building, and charges EUR3
for an hour, EUR6 for three hours and EUR12 for 24 hours. P2 has
free parking for 30 minutes and charges EUR12 per day, while P4 is
the most cost-effective for long-term parking, with a weekly rate
of EUR25. There is a free shuttle service linking outlying P4 to
the terminal building.
Car hire firms Avis, Budget, Europcar and Hertz, among others,
operate from the airport.
There are regular bus services to the city centre from Terminal
B taking about 30-45 minutes. Trains from the Arrivals halls
transport passengers to the city centre. Taxis are available
outside the airport.
Airport facilities include a number of bars, shops and
restaurants, as well as travel agencies and tour operators. ATMs
and bureaux de change are also available. Internet facilities are
available in Departures. The airport has good facilities for
disabled passengers; those with special needs are advised to let
their airline know in advance.
French is the official language.
The Euro (EUR) is the official currency in France. Currency can
be exchanged at banks, bureaux de change and some large hotels,
though you will get a better exchange rate at the ATMs. Major
credit cards are widely accepted, as are travellers cheques,
particularly in major tourist destinations. Foreign currency is not
