Albir is a quiet holiday destination on Spain's south-eastern coast, the Costa Blanca, 60km from Alicante airport. Albir is surrounded by the Sierra Helada (Frozen Mountain), a nature reserve popular with walkers and hikers. Albir has broad, tree-lined avenues with a good selection of restaurants and shops.

The beach at Albir is 600m long and is a mixture of golden sand and pebbles with sunloungers, water sports and children's play areas. The main promenade is “Paseo de las Estrellas” (Promenade of the Stars) where you will find restaurants and bars. During summer months there is a local craft market along the esplanade and in July each year there is a national film festival. One of the popular local walks is from Albir beach to the lighthouse of Albir along a winding road that emerges through a tunnel, which is closed to vehicles. The walk is suitable for all ages and is rewarded at the end with great views along the coast.

Albir is a relaxing holiday resort, perfect for families and those seeking a quieter holiday. However, it is also close to the theme parks and nightlife of Benidorm, for the more active holidaymakers.
