Villasimius is made up of two islands: l'Isola dei Cavoli, or Cabbage Island, so-called for the abundant presence of cabbage, and Isola di Serpentara, which is derived from the island’s serpent-like form. The prevailing climate of Villasimius is a local steppe climate, meaning the region experiences little rainfall and mild temperatures throughout the year.
