Sweden is a Nordic country in northern Europe, bordering Norway to the north and west, Finland to the east and connecting to Denmark in the southeast. Northern Sweden is covered by the Scandinavian Mountains, which are snow capped and typically heavily forested. The land in central Sweden is flatter but does still have a number of low mountains and lakes throughout.
