Holidays to Malcesine

Malcesine is a charming medieval town with cobbled lanes, a picturesque harbour, and a fantastic Medieval castle. The Malcesine province of Verona, Italy runs along the east shore and features beautiful mountain hilltops overlooking the crystal-clear blue waters of Lake Garda, Italy's largest lake. The distance from Verona airport to Malcesine is 60km.

Malcesine has many tourist attractions. One of the most visited sites is Castello Scaligero, a historic castle with magnificent views from the top of the tower which overlook Malcesine's huddled rooftops. Beside the castle there is a battlement fortress that is open to the public as a museum, called the Museo Castello Scaligero. Close to the harbour there is another grand historical building called Palazzo dei Capitani, which was previously the headquarters of the Venetian rulers. A popular excursion is to take a cable car to the top of Monte Baldo to enjoy the panoramic views. Restaurants can be found at the top where you can get a bite to eat while exploring the area. Public ferries runs from Malcesine which can take you around the lake to nearby villages.
