Calafell is a charming village on the Costa Dorada in Catalonia. It is located on the eastern coast of Spain 65km south of Barcelona and 47 km from reus airport. It enjoys the typical Mediterranean climate of warm summers and mild winters, with about 300 days of sunshine each year.

Calafell is a town steeped in history, set around a medieval castle and with a Romanesque church at its centre. As well as offering history and culture, this traditional Spanish village has plenty of fine local bars and restaurants to choose from. It also has two very popular open-air markets every Tuesday and Friday. Calafell’s golden sandy beach is 5km long with children’s play areas, sun beds, a lovely promenade and a good selection of water sports. The old fishing quarter, La Platja, has a selection of shops and cafes. For golfers, the Club de Golf La Graiera is just 5km inland.

Calafell is a perfect family holiday destination as it has a wide choice of local attractions on offer. Furthermore, the resort also suits couples who like the perfect blend of relaxation and exploration. It also serves as a great base for day trips to the likes of Barcelona and the PortAventura theme parks.
