The city of Reus is in the province of Tarragona, in Catalonia, on the north-eastern coast of Spain. It lies on a coastal plain, just 10km from the magnificent beaches of the Costa Dorada, such as Salou, Cambrils and La Pineda. Reus Airport is only 3 km from the town centre.
Renowned as the birthplace of the architect Antonio Gaudi, Reus has a walking route tracing his life including a visit to the Gaudi Centre. The city is full of beautiful architecture including Ajuntament de Reus – Reus Town Hall dating back to the 16th century, Plaça de Prim - one of the most photographed locations in Reus, and Plaça del Mercadal – sit back and take in its beauty with a glass of the local vermouth. The streets are also full of shops, bars and restaurants, with some areas pedestrianised to create a relaxing atmosphere. Port Aventura theme park and the beaches of the Costa Dorada are only 10km away, ideal for a day trip.
