Holidays to Garda

Garda is on the eastern coast of Italy’s Lake Garda overlooked by the fortress "La Rocca". Garda makes an ideal base on the lake from which to explore the region by car or boat. The nearest airport is Verona which is 34kms away and its very accessible by public or private transfers.

As it’s located in a wide horseshoe bay, Garda has direct access to the lake to enjoy boat trips, water sports or just relax with a glass of wine in a lakeside restaurant. You can rent a motorboat or kayak from the harbour to visit some of the shoreline or walk along the lakeside path to Torri del Benaco which offers stunning views back towards Garda. Explore the old town where you will find the old church of Santa Maria Maggiore and the Palazzo dei Captiano, a beautiful Venetian Gothic palace located in one of Garda town’s busiest piazzas.

With its proximity to Gardaland, families and couples alike will find plenty to do. If you are an opera lover take a trip to Verona to catch a show or a concert in the same historical stadium where Roman gladiators once fought.
