Altea is a charming town on the Costa Blanca in southeast Spain. Altea old town is perched on top of a hill and narrow streets lead down to the newer town by the sea, with stunning views along the way. Alicante airport is 70 kms south of Altea.

Altea is characterised by its whitewashed houses, cobbled streets, the blue and white domed church in Plaza Iglesia and its stunning beaches. The best way to explore is by foot, taking in the mix of cafes, artisan shops, arts, crafts and street markets. Local beaches have all the facilities to enjoy relaxing beach days, or you can visit La Bocana watersports adventure centre for kayaking, diving, paddle boarding and much more. Altea is also known for the Iglesia Ortodoxa Rusa San Miguel Arcangel which is a spectacular piece of architecture in the Altea hills, just 5km from the town.

Altea is a destination suited to individuals, couples and families. There are 6km of beaches with a promenade lined with restaurants and bars. The old town has a selection of quaint craft shops and cafes. Theme parks and lively nightlife are available nearby in Benidorm.
