Ios is a Greek island in the Aegean Sea. It is part of the Cyclades group of islands and is located between Naxos and Santorini. It is a small island but has a paradise-like feel to it, with white and blue top buildings, clear turquoise waters, and stunning sunsets. Ios enjoys a pleasant Mediterranean climate which makes for hot, sunny summers and mild winters.

Ios is home to beautiful boutique hotels, elegant restaurants, bars and churches. The island has 32 beaches, which can be reached by taking a boat trip around the island where you can discover hidden beaches, secluded coves and spot turtles or dolphins. The most popular of those beaches is Mylopotas Beach. Ios is known as a summer party island from mid-June to mid-August. Outside the summer months the island is much quieter. The Old Town of Chora Ios sits on a hill. Its winding alleyways are lined with cafes, shops, and bars. You can climb to the top of Chora and see the four white-washed churches perched on the hillside. This location offers spectacular views, and would be the ideal spot to watch the sunset.

During the summer months, Ios would be most suited to young travellers due to it being a popular party destination with a lively nightlife. Off-season its suitable for all age ranges and families.
