Calan Blanes is a lovely holiday resort on the west coast of Menorca, which is part of the Balearic Islands that also include Majorca and Ibiza. It is located 50km from the airport of Mahon and is approximately one hours drive. Its wonderful Mediterranean climate has warm but comfortable summers and very mild winters.

Calan Blanes has a fabulous long sandy beach where the water stays shallow and is ideal for children. There are also several small quiet beaches in the area. There are lots of nice family friendly restaurants and bars along with well stocked supermarkets. The old port city of Ciutadella in the old town, which features old Spanish palaces and a charming harbour area, is on the doorstep for those interested in history and culture. The area also offers good nightlife and is just 5km away with a regular bus service.

Calan Blanes is an ideal destination for families as all the local restaurants and bars are happy to welcome children of all ages and many of them provide free play areas. There is a waterpark nearby too and lots of family amenities throughout the resort. It’s also suitable for couples who are seeking a relaxing break.

There are a few flights each week in the summer months to Mahon from Dublin and we have excellent rates throughout the season.
