Discover St Julians

St. Julian's is a Maltese coastal town which features a number of well-known landmarks including the rocky coastline of Balluta Bay. Paceville, a neighbourhood south of St. George's Bay Beach, is lined with bars and nightclubs which make it a popular party destination. A marina and contemporary stores can be found at Portomaso Bay. The region enjoys a Mediterranean climate, with long, hot Summers and short, mild Winters.

Spinola Bay, located in the centre of St Julians, is one of Malta's most well-known attractions. With its colourful Maltese Luzzu fishing boats, it is a picture-perfect location where you can also find Spinola Palace, a baroque palace with a carved clock as its focal point on its front. A stroll down the meandering promenade that wraps along the edge of Spinola Bay is one of the top things to do in St Julians. The tranquil entrance of Balluta Bay is not far from Spinola Bay. It is one of the best sites in St Julians for swimming; during low tide, a tiny stretch of sandy beach is visible, making it a popular spot with snorkelers, sunbathers and divers. There are several cafés where you may have a creamy coffee, as well as an outdoor pool. The Carmelite Church, a Roman Catholic church which features neo-gothic architecture, is perched on the edge of Balluta Bay and overlooks the turquoise seas.

This location is perfect for most, as you can enjoy a beach holiday while also being within a city setting. A day excursion to Malta's capital, the picturesque city of Valletta, is a bit further out but still one of the best things to do while visiting in St Julians. Valletta is a bustling metropolis featuring Baroque architecture, fountains, statues, parks, restaurants and cafés, and boulevard streets lined with a mix of high-end and independent retailers.

Ryanair flies to Malta three times every week from Dublin airport. Abbey Travel always have great deals on package holidays to Malta from Ireland with flights, accommodation and expert advice all included.
