Discover Turin

Turin is in Northwest Italy. It is the capital city of the famous wine and truffle producing Piedmount region which is great for foodies. One of the city's most famous landmarks is the Turin shroud but there are also great palaces and museums to be found and is not as busy as some of the bigger cities in Italy. From Torino Airport to Turin, it is approximately 19km.

Turin is much less touristy than the likes of Milan. It has great rail links with most major cities making it very easy to get to. The Piedmont region is famous for its red wine, particularly Barolo and Barbaresco, so wine lovers are in for a treat. One of the best things to do in Turin is to simply wander around the pedestrian friendly streets taking in the history of the museums or stopping for an Aperitivo before you hit the shopping street. A day trip to Basilica di Superga is not to be missed as it is the home of the Turin shroud.

Turin can be enjoyed by couples and groups of all ages, as well as families and solo travellers due to its proximity to the larger city of Milan.
