Day 1 Join trip at Naples Airport; transfer to San Lazzaro

• There are 2 transfers from Naples International Airport (NAP), 11.45 and 19.00 to the agriturismo in San Lazzaro. The village has a few bars, a couple of small restaurants and shops. Agriturismo Luna d'Agerola, your home for the next week, has rustically furnished, en-suite rooms. Enjoy a welcome supper at the agritursimo and your trip leader will brief everyone on the week ahead.

Day 2 - Pino Gorge walk; optional hike with coastal views

• Catch a bus from San Lazzaro this morning to the village of Bomerano, crossing the Agerola Plateau. Follow narrow footpaths with stunning coastal views before hiking through part of the dramatic Pino Gorge. Ascent/ descent: 250m. Time: 1.5-2 hours. Total 4km.
• An optional walk in the afternoon leaves from the agriturismo, through the village and into the forest. An open stretch then circles around with views over the Amalfi Sea. Ascent/Descent: 300m. Time: 2 hours. Total 5km.

Day 3 - Circular hike from Amalfi including time in Ravello

• Catch a public bus from the square in San Lazzaro down to Amalfi. Walk out of town up through lemon groves and past fields of olives, fruits, and vines, to Ravello. Enjoy some free time to have lunch and soak up the town’s atmosphere that has attracted artists and writers here for years. Walk back to Amalfi by a different route with some sections on stone stairways. Enjoy a coffee or and ice cream in one of the many cafes in Amalfi. You may even have time for a swim before catching the bus back. Ascent/Descent: 400m. Time: 4 hours. Total 8km.
• This evening you can opt to enjoy a wine tasting in the beautiful wine cellar at the agriturismo, accompanied by a home-cooked food feast.

Day 4 - Day trip to Capri by boat; island walk

• Catch the boat from Amalfi to Capri and enjoy the impressive views of the Amalfi Coast on the way. Explore the island’s network of winding streets with grand houses and bougainvillea-covered walls. The walk takes you to the coast to take in the coastal views. Spend some free time people watching in the main town before the ferry back to Amalfi where the private bus will take you back to San Lazzaro. Ascent/Descent: 400m. Time: 4 hours. Total 10km.

Day 5 - Walk in the Ferriere Natural Park

• Take the ancient limestone stairway above San Lazzaro which leads high above the village, affording great views towards Salerno. Pass woodlands and small valleys, before crossing into the Vallone di Ferriere. The valley is bounded by high limestone cliffs giving it a unique micro-climate. The path offers spectacular views of the valley and coast, passing waterfalls and a river. Descend into Amalfi via a series of staircases, to catch the private bus back to San Lazzaro. Ascent: 360m; Descent: 1015m. Time: 6 hours. Total 13km.

Day 6 - A free day to visit Pompeii and Herculaneum

• Today is a free day to use as you wish. You can relax at the farmhouse, spend some time in San Lazzaro, or take an optional excursion to Herculaneum and Pompeii.

Optional excursion: Daytrip to Herculaneum and Pompeii.

Day 7 - The 'Walk of the Gods' to Positano

• The Walk of the Gods is one of the greatest coastal walks in the world and highlight of the trip. The cliff path turns west from Bomerano, with stunning views of the Bay of Salerno and Capri. The path passes under limestone cliffs and above stone farmhouses until it reaches the village of Nocelle. From here, descend the ancient steps into Positano. Enjoy some free time in the town and beach before the private bus back to the. Ascent: 330m; Descent: 900m. Time: 5 hours. Total 11km.

Day 8 - Transfer to Naples Airport where trip ends
