Days 1-2 Fly to Seoul

• Fly overnight to Seoul, the capital city of South Korea. Depending on your time of arrival, the rest of the day is yours to start soaking up the local culture. This evening, join your guide and fellow travellers for dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 3: Explore Seoul

• Seoul, a vibrant city that never sleeps, offers a unique blend of modernity and tradition. Amidst its towering skyscrapers, lively nightlife districts, and expansive shopping malls, you'll find a wealth of cultural treasures. Begin your day by witnessing the Changing of the Guards ceremony and exploring the historic Gyeongbok Palace. Then, immerse yourself in a hands-on cookery class where you'll learn to prepare the delicious Korean dish, bibimbap, and enjoy it for lunch. Visit the UNESCO-listed Jongmyo Royal Shrine and take in the breathtaking panoramic views from the N Seoul Tower. Conclude your day with a captivating non-verbal performance of Nanta, an award-winning show.

Day 4: Visit Soswaewon Garden

• Venture beyond Seoul to the enchanting bamboo forest of Juknokwon. Then, make your way to Damyang to uncover the serene beauty of Soswaewon, a private garden from the 16th century designed in traditional style, complete with flowing water, trees, and grasses to create harmony. Continue your journey to Gwangju, an artistic hub rich in fascinating history, where you'll have the opportunity to explore and immerse yourself in its cultural offerings.

Day 5: Explore Seonamsa Temple

• Journey to Boseong, renowned as Korea's premier tea-growing region, and explore a green tea plantation where you'll learn about tea production and enjoy a tasting. Next, travel to Suncheon to visit the 6th-century Seonamsa Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site featuring a picturesque arched stone bridge. Finally, head to Naganeupseong Fortress Village to experience traditional Korean life and participate in a handkerchief dyeing activity.

Day 6: Travel to Busan

• Travel to Yeosu and take a scenic cable car ride over stunning landscapes and open water to Dolsan Island. Then, proceed to Odongdo Island to enjoy more breathtaking views and spend some time admiring the diverse array of wildflowers that thrive there. Finally, make your way to the bustling port city of Busan.

Day 7: Discover Busan

• Busan, a relaxed contrast to Seoul's hustle and bustle, is a city brimming with character and traditional charm, featuring mountains, beaches, temples, and exquisite seafood. Begin your day at the Jagalchi Fish Market, then take in panoramic views from Busan Tower. Explore the diverse offerings at Gukje Market before lunch. In the afternoon, stroll across the Oryukdo Skywalk, a glass bridge perched on a seaside cliff, enjoy the tranquil nature of Dongbaekseom Island, and feel the sand between your toes on Haeundae Beach. Conclude your day with a drive to Gyeongju.

Day 8: Explore Gyeongju

• Gyeongju, often referred to as "the museum without walls," is a city rich in cultural and historical treasures. As the capital of the Silla Kingdom for over 1,000 years, it boasts an impressive array of tombs, temples, statues, and ruins. Start your day at the magnificent UNESCO World Heritage Bulguksa Temple, renowned as the pinnacle of Silla architecture, and Seokguram Grotto. After lunch, explore the Gyeongju National Museum, then visit Tumuli Park, a collection of royal tombs, and enjoy a leisurely stroll around Anapji Pond.

Day 9: Visit Naksansa Temple

• Journey to Sokcho, making a stop along the way to delve into the 1,300-year history of Naksansa Temple. This seven-story stone structure offers breathtaking views over the East Sea.

Day 10: Explore Mount Seorak

• Mount Seorak National Park is a breathtakingly scenic area, featuring lofty, cloud-covered peaks, rugged cliffs, and fragrant pine forests. As a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, it provides a sanctuary for many rare plant and animal species, making it one of South Korea's most stunning natural wonders. Take a cable car to the mountaintop and walk to Gwongeumseong Fortress. After lunch, enjoy a hike along the picturesque valley floor, with an optional visit to a nearby temple.

Day 11: Return to Seoul

• Transfer to Gangneung and board the train to Seoul. Upon arrival and after lunch, you'll have free time to shop or explore Seoul at your own pace.

Day 12: Visit the DMZ

• Established as a buffer zone between North Korea and South Korea at the end of the Korean War, the DMZ is one of the most heavily militarized borders in the world. Start your day early, as tickets to the DMZ are limited. Visit the DMZ Theatre & Exhibition Hall and walk through the 3rd Infiltration Tunnel. If tickets are unavailable, take a ride on the DMZ gondola and visit the Odusan Unification Observatory. Return to Seoul and explore the expansive Gwangjang Market. Tonight's farewell dinner is the perfect chance to reflect on your adventures!

Day 13: Fly Seoul to Dublin

• Fly to Dublin, arriving home the following day.
