Bitez is a laid-back spot located adjacent to Gumbet's party district. It distinguishes itself from Gumbet by having a more relaxed beachside and a slower pace of life. Bitez is 9 kilometres south-west of Bodrum. It is unlike any other resort on the Bodrum peninsula in terms of character and aesthetics. It has a soothingly quiet and calm environment, which is complemented by the lovely half-moon-shaped sandy beach. The mountains beyond Bitez village's resort are covered in ripe olive and citrus trees that provide wonderful fruit at the end of the Summer.

On Wednesdays and Thursdays, you can practice your bartering skills at the local market. Then, take an introductory lesson in some of the water activities that Bitez village is famed for, particularly windsurfing. The magnificent 17th-century Mustafa Pasa tower can be found in nearby Ortakent, and makes for an interesting and educating day-trip. Visitors can rent a small boat and spend a day fishing or exploring the neighbouring coves situated around Bitez, or take a local bus to neighbouring Bodrum and see the cobblestone streets, museum, and castle. Bodrum town, noted for its cosmopolitan and Mediterranean ambiance, is the perfect place for a shopping trip where you can pick up some souvenirs and authentic Turkish goods to take home with you.

Bitez is perfect for couples with split-interests. Your days can be spent relaxing in Bitez on a sun lounger (or hiding under an umbrella) or you can get active ny partaking in the water activities and historic excursions on offer. You can then head off to Bodrum town to do some retail therapy!

Ryanair offers direct flights to Bodrum with an estimated flight time of 4 and a half hours. It takes approximately an hour to get from Bodrum Airport into Bitez. There are direct dolmus services from Bodrum town to Bitez that run every 30 minutes or so.
