Rides at Disneyland Paris; ah yes, one of the central facets of one amazing place.
Everyone has their favourite ride. For some it’s the Big Thunder Mountain; for others it’s The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror; for me, there’s nothing better than the Pirates of the Caribbean (but that’s just because I’m Jonny Depp’s biggest fan!)…
…until now, that is!
Disneyland Paris has recently launched a preview of a brand new ride that is being opened this September. It’s called Ratatouille: The Ride.
Ratatouille: The Ride
The new ride has been inspired by the 2007 Oscar-winning Disney Pixar film – yes you guessed it – Ratatouille.
According to the Disney press release…
“L’Aventure Totalement Toquée de Rémy ride-through attraction will shrink guests down to the size of the film’s star, Remy, a cuisine-loving rat who dreams of becoming a master French chef. Guests will join Remy and his friends as they scurry through the kitchen, dining room, and walls of Gusteau’s famous Parisian restaurant, all the while trying to avoid the villainous Chef Skinner. This first-of-its-kind Disney attraction will immerse guests into an animated world like never before.”
Sounds AMAZING, right?

Where to find the ride
Ratatouille: The Ride will be located in the new area of Walt Disney Studios Park’s Toon Studio, and will be home to a “Ratatouille”- inspired version of Paris, a shop, and a restaurant. And yes, you guessed correctly again, its speciality dish will be none other than the “little chefs” famous dish, ratatouille.
Quote gold from Ratatouille
When we heard about this we were super happy. At lunchtime, we found ourselves sitting around the canteen table with quotes from Ratatouille at the tip of our tongue.
Here are our favourites:
Gusteau: A chef makes. A thief takes.
This quote struck a chord with mothers with teenage sons in the office.
Django: This is the way things are. You can't change nature.
Remy: Change *is* nature, Dad. The part that *we* can influence. And it starts when we decide.
Very deep and meaningful for a Disney movie – but also very true!
Remy: If you are what you eat, then I only want to eat the good stuff.
Chocolate is good stuff right?
Linguini: I don't handle pressure very well, and that's bad for me, but more important, the people around me.
I think we can all relate to this!
Colette: I'll make this easy to remember: keep your station clear, or I WILL KILL YOU!
Roughly translates into human speak as “tidy your room, OR ELSE!”
