Marc's Trip to London

Marcs Trip To London Macro

I recently travelled to London, where I spent 2 days visiting its iconic landmarks and seeing some of its most iconic sights. The seamless blend of historical points of interest and modernity make London a must-see, and its closeness to Dublin makes it very convenient to visit.

Location

London, the capital city of the United Kingdom, is situated in the southeastern part of the United Kingdom. It consists of an extensive urban area which covers a diverse range of neighborhoods, parks, and landmarks throughout the city. We travelled with Aer Lingus to London Heathrow airport, which is about 50 minutes from Kensington on the underground rail system.

What I Loved

I loved the buzz of the city and found the people to be extremely friendly. There's plenty to see & do, so your days won't be boring.

Activities & Places to See

  • Visit the fabulous Hyde Park, where you can see Kensington Palace.
  • Experience panoramic views of the city from the London Eye.
  • Enjoy breathtaking views of London's landmarks from the water with a cruise along the River Thames.

Shopping

London is a shopping paradise with a diverse range of shopping districts, luxury boutiques, department stores, and vibrant markets. Oxford Street & Covent Garden are great locations to do some shopping.

Food & Bars

London boasts a diverse and vibrant culinary scene with a wide array of bars and restaurants catering to different tastes and preferences. We were lucky enough to be surrounded by excellent restaurants and bars such as Publiq and Ken’s Bar.
