Gillian's Trip to Toronto

The purpose of my trip to Toronto was to experience winter in the city and to visit the iconic Niagara Falls.
Location
We flew directly with Air Canada from Dublin to Toronto, the staff were amazing and helpful from check-in to on board. Working in the corporate department, I decided to experience one of our corporate transfer companies firsthand. The driver was waiting in arrivals and sent a text with the same details while I was waiting at baggage claim. They assisted with luggage, and the transfer to downtown in a luxury BMW took about 25 minutes—certainly a service I could get used to.
What I Loved
Niagara Falls at night was truly amazing, with light shows occurring every hour for about 15 minutes. If you could brave the cold, it was much better than watching from indoors. Dinner at the CN Tower was definitely worth it, offering breathtaking views and providing access to the viewing platform prior to dinner at no extra charge.
Activities & Places to See
- Exploring the CN Tower for its amazing 360 views over Toronto, visiting Ripley's Aquarium of Canada, and taking a city sightseeing open-top bus tour (though it was a bit too cold in November) were enjoyable activities. Additionally, a day trip to Niagara Falls was a must, and ice skating at Nathan Phillips Square added a delightful winter touch to the experience.
Shopping
Toronto offers a diverse shopping experience, from the upscale boutiques of Yorkville to the eclectic shops in Kensington Market. The city's iconic Eaton Centre is a bustling shopping destination with a mix of high-end brands and popular retailers, providing a vibrant atmosphere for a day of retail therapy.
Food & Bars
Enjoying the breathtaking views of the city from the CN Tower 360 Restaurant, indulging in a delightful dining experience at Quinn's Steakhouse & Irish Bar, and savoring the offerings at the Marriott Hotel's bar and restaurant added memorable culinary experiences to the trip.
