Bernie's Trip to Dubai

We flew from Dublin directly to Dubai with Emirates. The trip was 4 days long and each day was jam packed with activities; we spent sightseeing & visiting some of Dubai's most prestigious hotels and 2 days attending the ATM conference. We stayed in the Palazzo Versace Hotel which was amazing, and was conveniently located about a 15 minute transfer from Dubai Airport.

Location

Dubai is a dazzling city on the southeast coast of the Persian Gulf, renowned for its incredible mix of modern skylines & buildings as well as its rich cultural heritage. It is home to iconic structures like the Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest building, and the sail-shaped Burj Al Arab and offers activities such as desert safaris, indoor skiing, and a vibrant nightlife scene.

What I Loved

I loved getting to see all that Dubai has to offer and experiencing the way of life there. The standard of hotels and the food are especially exceptional. The ATM conference was amazing to experience too. I spent most of my time in the UAE section which contained stands from every airline & hotel in the UAE.. Lots of very cool stands advertising local attractions and activities from F1 driving to sky diving. Through the day they had entertainment on from Falconry to local musicians.

Activities & Places to See

Go on the shopping trip of a lifetime at Dubai Mall.
Visit the iconic Palm Jumeirah, an artificial archipelago shaped like a palm tree which is home to numerous luxurious resorts.
Experience the beauty of the desert with a thrilling desert safari.
Stroll along the picturesque Dubai Marina, which is surrounded by skyscrapers and yachts.

Shopping

One of the most popular spots for shopping in Dubai is the Dubai Mall, which has plenty of shos from well known high street retailers to luxury brands. There are also the gold souks, which were an incrediblr experience. Since Dubai is tax free, I felt like I could shop til I dropped!

Food & Bars

Although I didn't get to visit any bars on this trip, I did get the chance to visit lots of incredible restaurants. Some of my favourites included Terra Solis, Côte d'Azur Monaco, Bulgari Resort, The Royal Resort, The Palm & the Versace Hotel.
