Sarah's Trip to Disneyland Paris

I was invited on a three-night FAM trip to Disneyland Paris to experience the new World of Frozen addition to the park. During the four days, I had the opportunity to explore both Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park, making the most of everything the resort has to offer. I stayed at Disney Hotel Cheyenne, an on-site hotel with a great location. The parks, restaurants and bars were all easily accessible and just a short walk from the accommodation, making it a convenient and comfortable base throughout the trip.

What I Loved

I really enjoyed having full days to spend in the parks, as it gave me plenty of time to explore and make the most of everything on offer. After a busy day of walking around and experiencing the attractions, it was always nice to end the evening with a good meal. There is a lot of walking involved throughout the day, so having such a wide range of restaurants to choose from was a real bonus. With so many options available, it was easy to find something to suit whatever cuisine I was in the mood for.

Activities & Places to See

  • The hotels are worth visiting even if you are not staying there, and I would recommend tickets for both parks as each offers a very different experience. They are also close together, making it easy to move between them throughout the day.
  • The light shows in both parks are spectacular and well worth adding to your itinerary, even though they take place later in the evening.
  • The Regal View was a highlight of the trip, especially the princess dining experience. The princesses stayed in character, the atmosphere was magical, and the food was beautifully presented, with the vanilla ganache dessert being a standout.

RESTAURANTS & BARS

We tried a range of restaurants and bars both within the parks and along the main street leading up to them. In the new Frozen land, the Nordic Star Tavern stood out, particularly for its salmon dish, which was enjoyed by the whole group.
The Sequoia Lodge also has a welcoming bar and restaurant area that is open to all guests. The drinks are reasonably priced, and the relaxed setting makes it a great place to unwind after a busy day in the parks. The Sports Bar was another highlight, showing popular live matches each day for guests who wanted to catch up on the action in a lively atmosphere.

Shopping, Nightlife & activities

There are various shops throughout the parks offering a wide range of Disney merchandise. These include princess dresses for children, along with plush toys, games and holiday memorabilia. There are also several late-night bars located along the main street before the park entrance, where guests can enjoy music and a lively atmosphere with a drink after a full day in the parks.

Overall Overview

The trip was very exciting and a great opportunity to experience both Adventureland and Disneyland Park. The dinner with the princesses at the Regal View was great fun and isn’t just for children to enjoy. I also really enjoyed the cascade of lights in the Frozen section of the park, along with the light display in Disneyland Park. These were the highlights of the trip for me, as they were so well produced and the timing was just right to keep everyone engaged.
