Sol's Trip to Egypt

I recently got the opportunity to go on a Fam Trip to Egypt, where I spent 5 days exploring this incredible country. During my time there I visited sharm-El-Sheikh & Cairo, which were both wonderful destinations with plenty to offer for visitors.

Location

Sharm el-Sheikh, located on the southern tip of the Sinai Peninsula in Egypt, is a renowned resort town nestled between the Red Sea and the towering mountains. It boasts luxurious resorts, bustling markets, and a lively nightlife, making it a popular destination for tourists seeking both relaxation and adventure. On the other hand, Cairo, the capital of Egypt, is a bustling metropolis that seamlessly blends ancient history with modern life. It's home to some of the country's most iconic landmarks, including the Giza Pyramids & the Sphinx. It's extremely vibrant & features plenty to see & do. I stayed at the Hotel Savoy Sharm-El-Sheikh and had lovely time here. It's located about 12km from the airport.

What I Loved

I loved my trip to Ras Muhammad National Park. It has beautiful landscapes and crystal-clear waters that I could have stared at for hours!

Activities & Places to See

Go snorkelling or diving in the Red Sea
Visit Ras Mohammed National Park, a must-see for nature lovers.
Delve into Egypt's rich history at the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square.
Enjoy a relaxing cruise along the Nile River, offering stunning views of Cairo's skyline and historic landmarks.

Shopping

There are shopping opportunities available in Soho Square, where you can find all kinds of shops as well as various bars & restaurants. The Old Market in Sharm is well worth a visit too. It's a bustling area filled with shops selling traditional crafts, spices, and souvenirs where visitors can practice their bargaining skills while soaking in the vibrant atmosphere.

Food & Bars

As mentioned, Soho Square is a great spot for bars & restaurants, with something on offer to suit every taste. I'd also recommend enjoying dinner on a boat cruise down the River Nile.
